AnimalSheltering.org is a program of The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the nation’s largest animal protection organization. The HSUS works closely with local animal care organizations, shelters, and animal control agencies in a variety of ways. We provide guidelines, recommendations, and advice on shelter operations, policies, and procedures.
