Asia Policy : Bridging the gap between the academic and policy worlds by publishing policy-relevant scholarly research on Asia that draws clear and concise implications for policymakers. This latest issue of Asia Policy includes reflections by Kenneth B. Pyle on the use of history and culture in the making of foreign policy, contributions by Aaron L. Friedberg and others to a special roundtable on the pursuit of security in Northeast Asia, and an essay by Robert Sutter that assesses why and how the 110th Congress is likely to change U.S. policy toward Asia. Asia Policy is NBR's new peer-reviewed journal devoted to bridging the gap between academic research and policymaking on issues related to the Asia-Pacific. We will consider for publication academic research—whether case-specific analysis or empirically focused theoretical analysis—that adheres to the standards of general social science methodology.
