We celebrate June as Audiobook Month, and I’d like to ask a favor of you: Take a moment to tell someone about AudioFile.

The Audio Publishers Association dubs June as the month, but you know that every month is audiobook month around AudioFile—“All audiobooks, all the time” says one of our taglines—and as the nation’s only independent source of information about audiobooks, we want to reach as many listeners as we can. Our reach continues to grow—travelers across the country find AudioFile in airport lounges, our Web site had more than 66,000 unique visits last month—yet, we can still use some help from our friends—you!

The festivities for Audiobook Month start with a splash on May 29 with the Audie Awards gala in New York City. (At midnight, you’ll find the winners of the 2009 Audies showcased at www.theaudies.com.) In this issue, pages 24-29, we detail each of the finalists in the 31 categories of this year’s competition. ...
