Barack Obama’s Plan for America: The Blueprint for Change, Free eBook, Asiaing.comSenator Obama has been able to develop innovative approaches to challenge the status quo and get results. Americans are tired of divisive ideological politics, which is why Senator Obama has reached out to Republicans to find areas of common ground. He has tried to break partisan logjams and take on seemingly intractable problems. During his tenure in Washington and in the Illinois State Senate, Barack Obama has accumulated a record of bipartisan success.

Civil Rights

There is no more fundamental American right than the right to vote. Before the landmark 1965 Voting Rights Act, barriers such as literacy tests, poll taxes and property requirements disenfranchised many Americans, especially minorities. More than 40 years later, there are still numerous obstacles to ensuring that every citizen has the ability to vote.

Economy

As president, Barack Obama will implement a 21st century economic agenda to help ensure that America can compete in a global economy, and ensure the middle class is thriving and growing. He will increase investments in infrastructure, energy independence, education, and research and development; modernize and simplify our tax code so it provides greater opportunity and relief to more Americans; and implement trade policies that benefit American workers and increase the export of American goods.

Education

Throughout America's history, education has been the vehicle for social and economic mobility, giving hope and opportunity to millions of young people. Our schools must prepare students not only to meet the demands of the global economy, but also help students take their place as committed and engaged citizens. It must ensure that all students have a quality education regardless of race, class, or background. Barack Obama is committed to strengthening our public schools to maximize our country's greatest natural resource - the American people.

Obama believes that we must equip poor and struggling districts, both rural and urban, with the support and resources they need to provide disadvantaged students with an opportunity to reach their full potential. Too often, our leaders present this issue as an either - or debate, divided between giving our schools more funding, or demanding more accountability. Obama believes that we have to do both, and has offered innovative ideas to break through the political stalemate in Washington.

Foreign Policy

As a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Senator Obama has fought to strengthen America's position in the world. Reaching across the aisle, Obama has tackled problems such as preventing the spread of weapons of mass destruction and stopping the genocide in Darfur....

A Message from Barack:

Thank you for taking a look at this booklet.

I believe it’s critically important that those of us who want to lead this nation be open, candid, and clear with the American people about how we will move forward. So I hope this booklet gives you a good sense about where I stand on the fundamental issues facing our country.

But I also hope that this booklet sparks a dialogue and that after you’ve finished reading it, you get in touch with our campaign and give us your thoughts on the policies you find here. It’s time to put government back in your hands, where it belongs. If we want to have policies that are good for the American people, then we need the American people to help shape those policies.

We all know what’s at stake. This is a defining moment in our history. Our nation is at war. The planet is in peril. The dream that so many generations fought for feels as if it’s slowly slipping away. We’ve never paid more for health care or for college. It’s harder to save and retire. And most of all, we’ve lost faith that our leaders can or will do anything about it.

But it is because of their failures that this moment of challenge is also a moment of opportunity. We have a chance to bring the country together in a new majority - to finally tackle problems that Washington has ignored for too long. And that is why the same old Washington textbook campaigns just won’t do in this election.

The Democratic Party has always made the biggest difference in the lives of the American people when we’ve led not by polls, but by principle; not by calculation, but by conviction; when we summoned the entire nation to a common purpose - a higher purpose. And I run for the presidency because that’s the party America needs us to be right now. I run to offer this country change that we can believe in.

I am in this race to tell the corporate lobbyists that their days of setting the agenda in Washington are over.

I’m in this race because I want to stop talking about the outrage of 47 million Americans without health care and start actually doing something about it. I’m in this race to end our dependence on Middle East oil and save our planet from the crisis of climate change so we can give our children a planet that’s cleaner and safer than we found it.

As president, I will end the war in Iraq, a war that I opposed from the beginning and that should never have been authorized. I will finish the fight against Al Qaeda. And I will lead the world to combat the common threats of the 21st century - nuclear weapons and terrorism; climate change and poverty; genocide and disease.

America, our moment is now. I don’t want to spend the next year or the next four years re-fighting the same fights that we had in the 1990s. I don’t want to pit Red America against Blue America, I want to be the President of the United States of America.

That’s why I’m asking you to stand with me, that’s why I’m asking you to caucus for me, that’s why I’m asking you to stop settling for what the cynics say we have to accept. In this election - in this moment - let us reach for what we know is possible. A nation healed. A world repaired. An America that believes again.

So thank you for taking the time to read this booklet, which lays out very clearly how I will achieve these goals for the people of Iowa. And if you have any questions or want to get involved or want to offer your ideas about how we can make our policies stronger, I hope you’ll visit http://iowa.barackobama.com, call 515-883-2008 or drop into one of our more than 37 offices across the state.

Sincerely,
Barack Obama

“I am in this race to tell the corporate lobbyists that their days of setting the agenda in Washington are over. I have done more than any other candidate in this race to take on lobbyists – and won. They have not funded my campaign, they will not get a job in my White House, and they will not drown out the voices of the American people when I am president.”

Obama’s Security Force

Because Barack Obama wants to change the way a thing has been done in this country and in Washington and God knows it’s time for change. If history has taught us any thing it’s that if we don’t learn from the past we are distend to repeat those past mistake’s or allow what has happen in times past to happen once again! We as a country can not afford to have not learned the lessons of the past. To say that there are no real threat to change is foolish and to the person who wants to bring about this needed change is like saying the US government did not have any thing to do with JFK’s assassination – the bottom is this if you know the Who- US Government, the Why- A threat to business as usual in this country.

JFK wanted to change how Washington dose business and the How - an American president was allowed to drive in a open car through a down town area when the FBI knew there were death threats on his life and this police agency failed to share this information with the Secret Service who the night before in Ft Worth TX. allowed it’s agents to drink heavily and this is a well documented fact these agents were to be in charge of his ( JFK’s) personal safety they were to ride and be right next to the president in the Dallas motorcade the next day on November 22,1963. –check out this well documented video clip- Secret Service stand down http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XY02Qkuc_f8 the How) Note: The presidents body guards were told to stand down – The How is very important! Why? Because who else could have told the main body guards who’s job it was to act as human shields for JFK. The point is that the order to stand down came from within. The How. It’s not rocket science it was an in side job!

There’s counter-terrorism branch of the U.S State Department geared to protect American interests (ex: diplomats and ambassadors and should protect future president Barack

Click here for MSD - http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=- 579761230936509619&hl=en – After viewing this government training footage you can see why the mobile security division (Elite Division of the Diplomatic Security Service) they are best of the best in the US Government at protection ask Collin Powell. My main point is they have never lost to my knowledge any one that they were assigned to protect. I can’t say that for the Secret Service and I don’t trust the FBI policing ability they knew about the plan’s to attack the world trade center month’s in advance and because of red tape well you know the story. As for as the Secret Service just look at their track record dose JFK, RFK ring a bell. Future president Obama’s should have the very best security this country has to offer he deserves that. The force’s that be do not want change they are accustom to the way things have been. As the saying goes power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely the change that future president Obama wants to bring about throws a major wrench in the forces that be thirst for absolute power. This why the MSD should be his primary security force.

Please forward this concern to the head of his security force or at least consider the MSD they are the best of the best!

Obama is a poser. His "plan for America" isn't gonna bring Americans peace or success. It isn't Gonna rid our economy crisis.

Mccain, on the other hand, has it all figured it out. He, for one, doesn't try to be someone who he isn't. Plus, he has the knowledge under his belt to lead our free country.

DO NOT VOTE FOR OBAMA!!!!!!!

Although i am not old enough to vote i support Barack Obama. America needs a drastic change and he is just the person to make those changes. This war has gone on far to long and it needs to end. We need to stop relying on other nations as energy sources and be independent. And not only does our nation need a change the world does. I believe Barack Obama can do this. our nation doesn't need another president saying they our going to change this country & getting our hopes up, only to let us down. We need promise and Barack as our nations next president sounds promising to me.

If there are numerous obstacles.. how about naming one? You can't level a charge of oppression like that and then not explain it.

What minorities are being deprived of the right to vote? Where is that happening?
