Black MBA Magazine, Summer 2008Published four times a year, Black MBA Magazine is a unique communication vehicle for reaching more than 45,000 African American executives, business school administrators, corporate partners, entrepreneurs and members.

Black MBA Magazine is mailed directly to nearly 8,000 NBMBAA® members, as well as educators and subscribers, including top entrepreneurs and Fortune 1000 executives. The magazine is also distributed to NBMBAA® chapters and to the nation’s top full-time and part-time graduate MBA programs, undergraduate business school programs and to select high school guidance counselors.

Copies are also available for sale at select bookstores across the country. Each year, an additional 10,000 copies of the Fall issue are distributed on site at the NBMBAA® Annual Conference.

Black MBA Magazine addresses the topics and concerns that are relevant to the more than 95,000 minority MBA graduates nationwide.

Obama and McCain Offer Contrasting Choices

After a long, exciting and historic Democratic primary, leading up to what will be – in one way or another – a historic election, the presidential race has calmed down to a straight-up fight between Barack Obama and John McCain, two men who both claim to be agents of change.

For voters worried and increasingly worn out by continued bad news about economy, the Iraq war, rising gas prices and the mortgage, change in this presidential election is not only desired, but essential. The question voters must decide is whose brand of “change” they want and which candidate is likely to turn this historic process into something that sustains. Examining the sharp contrast in views between McCain and Obama on the economy, civil rights, judicial appointments, Iraq, abortion and urban affairs can offer some insight into the kind of change voters can expect from each candidate. ...
