Bullying is on the increase. According to a new survey, fifty-two per cent of children and young people say that bullying is a big problem in their school. Each week at least 450,000 young people are bullied at school, a further 500,000 are bullied outside of school in the community. Meanwhile, bullying at work is a much greater problem than people once realised. As many as one in 10 people were bullied at work over the past six months. This book examines the many forms that bullying can take and ways of tackling bullying. The information comes from a wide variety of sources and includes government reports and statistics, newspaper reports, features, magazine articles and surveys and literature from lobby groups and charitable organisations.
