FAA Aviation News feature articles are developed thematically, based on flying season, key aviation events, and resources the FAA can offer to improve flying knowledge, skills, and attitudes. Among its recurring features, the magazine includes an “Aeromedical Advisory” column, because flying safely is inextricably linked to good health. Another regular column, “Nuts, Bolts, & Electrons,” covers maintenance issues. The “Hot Spots” column seeks to raise awareness and educate pilots on enforcement and special emphasis areas, such as pilot deviations and runway safety practices. In addition, FAA Aviation News works closely with the FAA Safety Team (FAASTeam) and provides news updates that are posted on www.faasafety.gov and distributed to FAASTeam subscribers.
