Zinio - H2O Magazine
Saturday, 16 February 2008

H20 Magazine, November/December 2007, Asiaing.comH2O Magazine is dedicated to the water industry and construction sector in the Arabian Gulf, Egypt and the Levant.

Published bi-monthly from Dubai, it offers focused information and data on the water industry and construction sector in the form of feature stories, interviews, case studies, white papers, product reviews and columns.

Every issue has a cover story that provides fresh insights and analysis into water-related trends in the region. H2O is as much concerned about reporting on core water products, services and practices as it is about reporting on those aspects that help create energy-efficient and environmentally friendly solutions in the realm of water.

Water evokes a deep sense of responsibility among engineers, technocrats and developers in the region. Issues relating to desalination, distribution and recycling occupy much mind-space.

Taking cognisance of this, H2O is intent on sharing solutions and strategies with the industry. The magazine acts as a conduit, exposing readers to technological innovations in such areas as MBR, dewatering, compacting and brine disposal, to name a few.

The magazine brings home lessons learned through guest columns, cover stories and case studies, be it on the Sulaibiya plant in Kuwait, Ashghal in Qatar or the Ajman plant in the UAE.

In addition to a strong technical leaning, the magazine focuses on the people in the water industry. It focuses on key personalities and throws as much light on their lives and events that have shaped their career-path as on their concerns, thoughts and strategies vis-?vis the water industry in the Middle East.

THE SITUATION
The population of the UAE and the Middle East, in general, is on an upswing. A focus on the UAE reveals that the country is the world’s third largest per capita consumer of water after the US and Canada, and that water consumption is expected to increase by 44% to 3.2 billion cu m by 2025. Current annual water consumption is estimated to be 2.2 billion cu m, of which the agriculture sector consumes 67%, the domestic sector 24% and the industrial sector 9%.

The UAE, with the full backing of its visionary leaders, is taking robust steps to meet the demand, be it in the areas of desalination, distribution or recycling. Such is the high level of activity and such is the speed of developments that it is often diffi cult for key decision makers, like contractors and consultants to leaf through general-interest industry magazines or guidebooks. As a result, much vital information that could attract them to your products and/or services goes unread.

SOLUTION
CPI Industry aims to resolve the situation through H2O.

Welcome to CPI Industry

The fundamental aim of CPI Industry is to adopt a fresh approach to analysing the industrial sector in the Middle East

Established in 2003 as a division of Corporate Publishing International, CPI Industry gave shape to its aim by producing the region’s first ever UPS and Genset guidebook, Power Solutions Middle East. Since then, it has produced annual editions of the guide. In the winter of 2005, CPI Industry added the HVAC Guide Middle East to its portfolio of annual guides. And in January 2006, it launched Climate Control Middle East, the first ever monthly magazine on the region’s HVACR industry.
