With the exploding population and purchasing power numbers that the U.S. Hispanic community is credited with possessing, it appears as if everyone today has a newly discovered need to position themselves in a vantage point that redirects the power of the community into their pocketbooks.

With this newfound focus, it would be a shame to focus only on the purchasing power while disregarding the social issues that are affecting the community at such a dramatic scale. Knowing that America cannot afford to disregard the challenges facing our community, our Hispanic Times USA magazine publication exists to inspire action from our readers that will minimize the social calamities that exist in today’s Hispanic community.

In this edition, we highlight three Arizona community development organizations and one national organization whose outreach focus is on embracing the need to address the social issues that are running rampant throughout our community. We address online career resources that are providing jobs for bilinguals in order to address the fact that our community is increasingly funneling itself as a whole into low paying service careers requiring little or no education and relegating it into being mired in narrow channels of productivity.

In this and every edition, we introduce to our readers articles about immigration, family, health, politics, religion, and government which highlight the opportunities existing in our community with the hope that it galvanizes people to publicly and passionately talk about Hispanic- America’s challenges and its capacity to transform itself into more than just a growing constituency, but also, into one that exemplifies an ability to improve the plight of our community despite what looks like daunting odds.
