LiveRight with ShopRite, April 2008LiveRight with ShopRite: Enhance your health and lifestyle.

Dear Customers,
Spring is in the air! We can feel it, we can smell it, and we can even taste it. As we witness the signs of new life around us, we take comfort in the fact that the long winter is offi cially behind us. Our yearly spring rituals come back into play, the grill is fi red up, the lawn’s cleaned up, and our hibernating neighbors come out to greet the new season. LiveRight with ShopRite™ can help you spring into action.

Seasoned right —seasonal recipe ideas. Now that your local ShopRite® store is packed with the freshest fruits and vegetables of the season, we’re happy to feature nutritious recipes (on page 20) that focus on fresh herbs that will add beauty and fl avor to your table. Asparagus will never be the same when you try our Roasted Asparagus with Creamy Dill-Chervil Sauce. Or why not try the Spring Vegetable Sauté with Creamy Tarragon Dressing?

Is organic food worth the extra money? For more information, check out page 10 for our article highlighting eight great foods to buy organic. As more and more organic products become available, the ultimate choice is yours.Find out why organic is the best.

All I need is the air that I breathe. Like the water we drink and the food we eat, the air we breathe has a great impact on our health. Along with spring comes allergy season. What seems like a joyful time for most can leave others feeling miserable. In this issue, we offer some tips (on page 6) for helping curb seasonal allergies with anti-infl ammatory foods. Take a deep breath!

Enhancing your life and well-being is our goal at LiveRight with ShopRite™!

Your Friends at ShopRite®

Spring is the perfect time to “go green.” No, not green as in earth friendly, though that’s important, too. Think of going green as adding more green fruits and vegetables to your daily diet — green grapes, green apples, honeydew melon, green beans, broccoli, spinach, asparagus and more. You get the picture.

LiveRight with ShopRite Official Website

ShopRite (or its full name ShopRite Supermarkets) is a retailers' cooperative (co-op) chain of supermarkets in the Northeastern United States, in the states of New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. Based in Elizabeth, New Jersey, ShopRite consists of 43 individually owned and operated affiliates with over 200 stores, all under its corporate and distribution arm, Wakefern Food Corporation.

In recent years ShopRite has renovated, expanded or totally rebuilt many of its older stores, as well as adding new ones. Most stores are larger than before with improved facilities. Some of the older ShopRite stores date back to the 1950s and 1960s. Examples of a newly built giant ShopRite can be found in Wharton, New Jersey, opened in 2001, and a rebuilt one in nearby Succasunna. Recently, a new ShopRite location was opened in Lodi, New Jersey.

Some ShopRite slogans have been "Hey mom, what's for dinner? ShopRite has the answer!", "ShopRite does it Right", "ShopRite and Always Save!", and their current "Always Fresh and Always for Less." ShopRite also uses the slogan "This is Your Neighborhood...This is Your ShopRite" when promoting and supporting community events. ShopRite is also known for its yearly Can-Can Sale, held every January since 1971, and in July 2002 introduced the Summer Can-Can Sale. (From Wikipedia)
