It started innocently enough. In honor of this holiday gaming season, I decided to upgrade my videocard. That videocard upgrade caused a cycle of in-game crashes that prompted further intervention, starting with a simple power-supply swap and ending when I realized my 18-month-old install of 64-bit Vista had reached the end of its road.
