MaximumPC.com— a Huge Leap Forward

It seems like just last week I was writing about a new and improved MaximumPC.com. Yeah, yeah, I know: It seems like we’re always announcing new site improvements.

But this time is diff erent. This time I can say we have completely overhauled the website, and it’s no longer just a companion to the magazine. MaximumPC.com is now a full-fl edged destination all its own, with dozens of daily news updates, plus exclusive, online-only how-to stories, in-depth features, and weekly podcasts.

And, yes, Best of the Best is back—and it’s fabulous.

BOTB was never fully realized in the form it took in the magazine. In print, we didn’t have the necessary space to provide the rationales for our selections, and we couldn’t even run product photography. But you’ll be pleased to know that our online BOTB fi xes both problems: We include lots of big pictures, and each entry has a writeup, so you’ll know exactly why we chose a particular item. Even better, we’ll be updating BOTB at least twice a month (which just isn’t possible in the print mag). ...
