ME Magazine is Montreal’s newest guide to entertainment, sex and romance, fashion, health, fitness and restaurants. “We are having a phenomenal response the magazine because there are so few independent magazines in Montreal today,” says Lisa Peters, Editor in Chief. Want to know how to get those awesome abs? Middleweight Boxing Champion Otis Grant tells how. Want to cook like a Chef? Portovino’s executive chef shares his secrets. ME Magazine gets up close and personal with the pros on all aspects of health and fitness. The launch of the ME June issue features Angelina Jolie, and co-star Brad Pitt in Mr. and Mrs. Smith; Nicole Kidman who casts her spell in the upcoming release of Bewitched; and Johnny Depp in his Willy Wonka role in Charlie and the Chocolate factory. Plus editorials include the Jazz Festival, and Centaur Theatre. “It’s great to have a magazine like ME in Montreal - it’s just fantastic,” says Suzanne Villeneuve of Savi Communications, Montreal distributors of Warner Bros., Columbia and Sony Pictures. ME Magazine was test marketed from December to March, through free giveaways of thousands of magazines in target areas across Montreal. “People loved the magazine so the next step was to launch the magazine on newsstands in June,” says Lisa Peters. “This is a magazine that transcends age barriers and gender,” says Peters. “Readers from 18 to 80 who recently received 20,000 free promotional giveaways said it was one of the best magazines they had read and were thrilled that the magazine was about events and places that are in Montreal.” Now available in newsstands at only $2.95, the magazine is a real eye-opener.
