Military Embedded Systems, March/April 2008

Magazine - Military Embedded Systems
Tuesday, 22 April 2008

Military Embedded Systems, March/April 2008Military Embedded Systems magazine focuses on “Whole Life COTS" and the total military program life cycle, providing technical coverage that applies to all program stages – not just the front end design stage. The website, Resource Guide, Internet editions, and print editions provide insight on embedded tools and strategies such as software, hardware, systems, technology insertion, endof-life mitigation, component storage, and many other military-specific technical subjects.

Military Embedded Systems (MES) is distributed in print to 35,000 readers and to 25,000 online recipients. Coverage includes the latest, most innovative products and technology shifts that drive today’s military embedded applications, such as SDR, sonar, radar, avionics, telemetry, C4ISR, imaging, and more. Each issue provides readers with the information they need to stay connected to the pulse of embedded technology that already is
– or might possibly be – used by the military and aerospace industries.

OpenSystems Publishing (OSP), LLC, purchased the assets of the product-focused MIL/COTS DIGEST and the opt-in database of the tradeshow Global Signal Processing (GSPx) Conference. Military Embedded Systems will add two special new product-only supplements in 2007 featuring the MIL/COTS DIGEST name and design.

In addition, the new “Programmable Logic: FPGAs and Reconfigurable Computing” supplement will accompany one issue of MES and highlights this increasingly important technology arena used in long-life defense systems.

These transactions make Military Embedded Systems one of the top COTS publications in the industry and one of the few that supports print, E-letter, E-lert, podcast, and webcast content directly to engineers, engineering managers, and program engineers involved in the development of aerospace and defense electronics subsystems and systems.
