Nuclear North Korea & Rebuttals: U.S. Nuclear Primacy, China Security Magazine, Autumn 2006

Magazine - China Security
Sunday, 21 January 2007

ImageChina Security is an international and interdisciplinary quarterly policy journal dedicated to bringing diverse perspectives to bear on vital traditional and nontraditional security issues that impact China’s strategic development and its relations with the United States and the region. The journal seeks to improve the understanding of China amongst American policy practitioners and the public by providing authoritative analysis on critical security issues.

China Security presents ideas from a wide range of intellectual traditions that cover both theoretical and policy-oriented research on political, social, economic
and military issues relevant to China. As an independent journal, China Security provides a peer-reviewed forum for research publication that enhances the communication of concepts and promotes a creative dialogue within China and across national boundaries.

The current issue of China Security examines two crucial subjects on nuclear weapons facing China and the international community. The first three articles are an in-depth analysis of China’s policy choices and strategic considerations regarding a nuclear North Korea. The second set of articles responds to the growing debate on U.S. Nuclear Primacy and its implications for China and Russia.
