Octane Magazine, March 2008Octane Magazine: Canada’s Car Wash and Petroleum Magazine

Make it Happen!
Make the most of your show experience

The theme of this year’s Convenience U CARWACS Show is Make It Happen. At Octane magazine we’re doing everything we can to make it happen for the car wash and petroleum industry when its members all come together under one roof on March 18th and 19th in Toronto.

No show floor in Canada can compare in size and quality to Convenience U CARWACS, where manufacturers and distributors display their products for operators to see, touch and hold in their hands. It is the ultimate experience for anyone who wants to build a new wash, upgrade an existing site, or simply shop the show floor for new trends and ideas.

Among the many benefits of attending The Convenience U CARWACS Show, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Compare manufacturers
  • Speak with a wide variety of distributors
  • Share ideas with your fellow operators

And while we’re doing all we can on our end to Make It Happen for you, as operators, you should prepare to get the most out of your show experience:

  • Plan which of our popular education sessions to attend
  • Know in advance which manufacturers you need to contact
  • Prioritize exhibitors you want to see
  • Come with an open mind, ready to learn and absorb.

Taking the proper steps in advance will mean executing at the show, and in the year ahead. For those who can’t join us in Toronto, we’ll see you on May 22 and 23 in Calgary – as we take our show to western Canada for the first time. Join us at The 2008 Convenience U CARWACS show in Toronto, Calgary, or both!

When washing a car at home, the soaps and detergents go directly into storm sewers, untreated. Car washes have separate sanitary systems that treat and can recycle the water they use. According to the International Carwash Association, washing your car in the summer produces the second largest demand for peak summer water use, after lawn watering. In fact, washing a vehicle in the driveway can use up to 10 times more water than taking it to a professional. ...
