SIPRI and the SIPRI Yearbook The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) is an independent international institute for research into problems of peace and conflict, especially those of arms control and disarmament. SIPRI was established in 1966 to commemorate 150 years of unbroken peace in Sweden. Research is conducted at SIPRI by an international staff of researchers. The Institute’s current research programme centres on the following projects:
