Dig into 75 or more delicious home-style recipes, including 32 handy "clip-out" recipes in every issue. Taste of Home is at heart a friendly exchange of authentic family-favorite recipes handed down over generations and shared among loved ones. Taste of Home recipes are practical because they're from home cooks—not gourmet chefs—and feature familiar, everyday ingredients; clear, beautiful photos; and easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions. And because each is individually tested by culinary experts in our Test Kitchens, Taste of Home recipes are reliable; we guarantee that you can count on success each time you prepare one. But more than simply offering recipes, Taste of Home fosters a strong and loyal sense of community among like-minded home cooks of all ages, who share food preparation secrets and tips, humorous and heartwarming anecdotes, and glimpses into their kitchens, their homes and their lives. Taste of Home is the world's leading food media brand; we publish four magazines, over 40 special interest recipe collections for sale at retail and grocery stores each year, dozens of cookbooks—hardback and spiral bound, and we host over 300 local cooking schools around the country each year.
Taste of Home is part of the Reader's Digest Food Affinity, the first and only media community designed to unify the voices and experience of everyday cooks and home entertainers. Visit Taste of Home Magazine Website We’ve renovated… On page 20, Colleen Bassindale talks about how she blended old and new to create the perfect kitchen for her family. How appropriate that her story is featured in this issue…because we’ve “redone our kitchen,” too. Taste of Home has always celebrated real food from real home cooks. And that hasn’t changed. But we have made some changes we hope you’ll be excited about—whether you’re a longtime fan or brand new to our table. We’ve taken a page fromthe kitchen designer’smanual and organized themagazine’s contents into distinct sections—we call them“cabinets”—that allow you to easily find what you’re looking for. There’s “Cook Smart,” featuring recipes and tips to help you eat more healthfully, get dinner made quickly, cook with your kids or reduce your grocery bills. And “Open House,” full of holiday home entertaining ideas. My favorite, “Close to Home,” showcases just a few of the special people who make Taste of Home what it is—like field editors Rachel Garcia, Joan Truax and Joan Hallford. You’ll find these “cabinets” in every issue of Taste of Home from now on, along with great seasonal “specials” featuring fabulous recipes from readers just like you. Our gifts to you this holiday season: seven delightful holiday cookies on p. 51, easy-on-thebudget surf and turf on p. 47, and the most fun winter cupcake designs you’ll ever make on p. 60. And, of course, our holiday appetizer contest winners. (Visit taste ofhome.com/contests to join in all the prize-winning fun!) And there’s more:We’ve freshened up our look and added some fun new icons (see below). We share lots of secrets fromthe cooking experts in our Test Kitchen. And we tell you about all the exciting new things going on at tasteofhome.com. But at the foundation of this renovation—and at the heart of Taste of Home—is you.Your family’s favorite recipes, your helpful tips, your stories andmemories. We know this to be true: Our kitchen would not be the same without you! Our very best to you and yours this holiday season. Bookmark
