The only advertisements in the magazine are for various pamphlets and booklets published by the PCG, for the Armstrong College Bible Correspondence Course, and a list of broadcast times for The Key of David. The magazine reports on worldwide events as seen through the filter of Armstrongism as taught by the PCG. The bias of the magazine is decidedly conservative (the December 2006 issue characterized the Democratic victory in Congress as a "dangerous turn for America"). There are, however, occasional claims of political neutrality (for example, the October 2004 issue stated "Neither George W. Bush nor John Kerry can promise you that [to keep you safe from terrorism]." Occasionally the Trumpet has articles on certain issues not tied to specific current events (pornography, the weakening of the traditional family unit, the paganism of Easter, etc.) (More news from Wikipedia.org) Download The Philadelphia Trumpet Magazine, January 2008 PDF format, 2.6MB, 40Pages. About the Trumpet: TheTrumpet.com is the official website of the Philadelphia Trumpet newsmagazine. Each weekday, theTrumpet.com features reporting and analysis of recent global geopolitical, economic, social and religious events and trends. The Trumpet magazine, which began in February 1990, is published 10 times a year by the Philadelphia Church of God. It is available by subscription absolutely free. The Trumpet uses a single overarching criterion that sets it apart from other news sources and keeps it focused like a laser beam on what truly is important. That criterion is prophetic significance. The Trumpet seeks to show how current events are fulfilling the biblically prophesied description of the prevailing state of affairs just before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. The Trumpet has a long history of accurate forecasting of major global events based on this predictive model, tracing back to the beginnings of the Plain Truth magazine in 1934 under the direction of Herbert W. Armstrong. To explore these forecasts, read our sample issue, called “He Was Right!—Remembering five decades of accurate forecasting by Herbert W. Armstrong.” Subscribers to the Trumpet receive the benefit of having full access online to the latest issue several days before it hits newsstands and mailboxes, as well as previous issues back to March-April 1998. As a subscriber, you will also receive the semi-annual subscriber letter from editor in chief Gerald Flurry. Subscribing is simple and absolutely free of charge, with no follow-up or obligation.
