Three HR Trends You Cannot IgnoreLearn the value of an Enterprise Content Management system for HR professionals.

Human Resources technology decisions are driven by a need to access information and report on it meaningfully. There are three major trends that present some daunting tasks for HR departments. However, each can be reasonably managed with the right technology, like an Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system that can tie the information in different systems together and keep control of it through its lifecycle.

Human Resources may be considered the “warm and fuzzy” department in an organization, but when it comes to technology, it is quite serious. According to the CedarCrestone 2010-2011 HR Systems Survey, 71 percent of respondents plan to implement new HR systems in the next year. Technology decisions are being driven by a need to access information and report on it meaningfully.

The following three trends present some daunting tasks for HR departments. However, each can be reasonably managed with the right technology, like an enterprise content management (ECM) system that can tie the information in different systems together and keep control of it through its lifecycle.

Trend #1 – Best of breed continues to edge out HRIS options.
HR organizations, unlike their finance and accounting counterparts, are more likely to use multiple applications on a daily basis.
