The vision of USA Archery is to foster the sport of archery as a national pastime from which we can develop interest and abilities at all age levels to include international sports superiority in archery programs and athlete performance.

The mission of USA Archery is to develop and promote the sport of archery with the ultimate goal of producing Olympic, Pan American and World Archery Champions.

STRAIGHT SHOTS
FROM THE PRESIDENT’S DESK

2008—A New Year and A New Beginning Whether you’re just learning to shoot or are Beijing bound, USA Archery has something for you. Consider the opportunities available:

• Achievement awards for young people and us older folks through the JOAD and Adult Training Programs.
• Opportunities to shoot at all levels: club leagues; local, state and regional tournaments; college archery programs and national competitions, both indoor and outdoor.
• Opportunities to qualify for World Championships teams and World Cup events.
• Opportunities to become a member of the U. S. Archery Team and the U.S Olympic Archery team.

A new program called “After School Archery Program (ASAP),” is now available to introduce archery to new participants through recreation departments with after school programs for kids. Like the National Archery in Schools Program (NASP), this provides more opportunities for school-aged youth to learn to shoot and have fun.

For the most part, all of this is made possible because of truly dedicated volunteers willing to devote time and energy to promoting the sport, working with youth and other adults. If this describes you, accept my most sincere Thanks for all you do and know that you are greatly appreciated!

Yours for the love of archery,
Jane
