A special partnership (LETTER FROM THE FOUNDER):

As Women’s Health Today approaches its third year in circulation, the Foundation for Female Health Awareness is proud to announce its partnership with the Society for Women’s Health Research. This partnership is aimed at promoting the mutual missions of our not-forprofit organizations through the Women’s Health Experience.

The Society for Women’s Health Research was created to improve the health of all women through research, education and advocacy. Founded in 1990, the Society brought to national attention the need for the appropriate inclusion of women in major medical research studies, and the need for more information about conditions affecting women disproportionately or differently than men.

The Foundation and the Society share common goals. Both groups advocate increased funding for research on women’s health; encourage the study of sex differences that may affect the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease; promote the inclusion of women in medical research studies; and inform women providers, policy makers and media about contemporary women’s health issues.

We are excited about this partnership and about advancing women’s health throughout the country via Women’s Health Today and our live events program. This partnership will continue to ensure our readers are getting the most direct, honest and unbiased medical information for women.
