The sheer volume of unsettling statistics about our country’s overwhelmed transportation infrastructure might actually numb Americans to the magnitude of the problem—just flip through any issue of World Trade Magazine. For example, the U.S. Department of Transportation reports that congestion on our nation’s highways, seaports, airports and railways costs the country $200 billion a year.
